What size of companies does Biber-IT work with?

Our focus is on mid-sized businesses with 10 to roughly 250 workstations in Karlsruhe, Pforzheim, Rastatt, Baden-Baden, Bruchsal, Bretten and Dobel. We act as an external IT partner with clearly documented response times and responsibilities.

How quickly are you on-site in an emergency?

Within our service area between Karlsruhe and a 40 km radius we guarantee response times between 30 minutes and 4 hours, depending on the contract. Outside business hours a 24/5 emergency line is available.

Which vendors do you work with?

For networking we use UniFi, including the integrated UniFi firewall. Cloud productivity runs on Microsoft 365, endpoint security on Microsoft Defender for Business. Virtual machines run on Proxmox, with its built-in backup system handling VM snapshots. For Microsoft 365 data we use Synology Active Backup for Microsoft 365.

How do I stay informed about my IT status?

Response times and open issues are covered in direct contact. Targeted reports on tickets, patch status or backup status are produced on request, for example for audits, insurance reviews or management.

Am I locked into a long-term contract?

No. Our maintenance contracts are cancellable on a monthly basis. If you prefer to work without a contract, we bill hourly by effort and invoice per job.

Where is my data stored?

On request, backups run on a server in your own premises, so the data stays in your hands. We operate Microsoft 365 with EU data residency; Microsoft hosts the data in European data centres.
